Al-Hijrah began as a bold idea in the forgotten highlands of Ziarat, Balochistan: that poverty can be overcome not by charity—but through dignity, education, and leadership. Founded in 2002, Al-Hijrah Schools Trust created Pakistan’s first fully residential schooling model for rural children—now expanded to South Punjab and Sindh. The Al-Hijrah Education Foundation (AHEF), based in the UK, carries this mission forward globally. What began as one step in Ziarat is now a nationwide movement shaping future leaders from Pakistan’s most underserved communities.
We are committed to eradicating poverty through value-based, fully-funded education—empowering children from remote rural areas to rise as scholars, citizens, and changemakers.
A cadre of nurtured ethical leaders from the most deprived communities of Pakistan—rooted in faith, guided by compassion, and driven by a mission to serve.
Al-Hijrah Education Foundation (AHEF) operates as the global fundraising and strategic arm of a powerful alliance:
Founded in Pakistan, AHST runs model residential campuses in Ziarat and DG Khan, delivering holistic education rooted in Islamic values, civic responsibility, and academic excellence.
A growing network of graduates now serving as doctors, engineers, civil servants, and educators—many of whom give back through mentorship, donations, and regional upliftment.
We are committed to creating a safer, brighter, and more inclusive world where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Join our mission as a volunteer and make a real difference in transforming lives through education and care.
