Al-Hijrah Schools Trust (AHST)

Founded in 2002 under the Trust Act 1882, the Al-Hijrah Schools Trust is the parent body of the Al-Hijrah movement in Pakistan. Established with the belief that poverty is not a destiny but a challenge education can overcome, AHST partners with governments, communities, and supporters worldwide to provide fully funded, value-based residential education to children from Pakistan’s most underserved regions.

The Trust’s first milestone came in 2004 with the establishment of the Jinnah Campus in Ziarat, Balochistan, on 86 acres allocated through a public–private partnership with the Government of Balochistan. This pioneering model has since grown into a multi-campus movement, including the DG Khan Campus in South Punjab launched in 2023.

AHST’s philosophy rests on three pillars: dignity, discipline, and direction. It nurtures students not just academically, but also spiritually and morally blending modern education with ethical grooming, inspired by prophetic principles and Iqbal’s vision of a self-reliant, united Pakistan.

Over the past two decades, AHST has supported hundreds of students, with alumni now serving as doctors, engineers, civil servants, and leaders in their communities. Alumni-led initiatives such as the Ushur Fund further reflect the Trust’s success in creating a culture of giving back.

Sustained through zakat, sadaqah, institutional support, and donor partnerships, AHST continues to expand its vision-building new campuses, planning Pakistan’s first free university for underprivileged students, and preparing the next generation of principled patriots to uplift the nation.
